Data collected

The site only collects what you write in the contact form: name, email address and message. The form is optional: you can also email me directly.

The server hosting the site records the IP address and time of each request in its technical logs, for security and to keep the service running.

Why I use it, and on what basis

I use the form data only to reply to your request and, if we work together, to manage the project. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and, if we work together, performing that contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Technical logs protect the site: the legal basis is the legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long

I keep messages for as long as it takes to reply. If we work together, I keep them for the length of the collaboration and then for as long as the law requires, for example for tax purposes.

Technical logs are kept by the hosting provider for the period set by its service.

Who receives it

The data passes through Hostinger, which hosts the site and sends the form messages, and Microsoft, which provides the email account where I receive them (Outlook). Both process it on my behalf as data processors. Microsoft may also process it outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR.

I do not sell the data or use it for advertising.

Cookies and data stored in the browser

The site uses no profiling cookies and no analytics tools. That is why there is no cookie banner.

If you choose the light theme, the browser remembers it while the tab stays open. It is technical data, used only to show you the site the way you chose.

Your rights

You can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, receive it in a readable format or object to its processing, by writing to stefanocerro@outlook.com.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
